Homemade Chocolate Donuts

I love donuts, for a long time it was my “comfort food”. Yes, I know, too many donuts are not good for you, but I’m just being honest, it was a guilty pleasure. Even though I’ve cut back on the number of donuts I eat, I still make them from time to time. With that said, let’s take a look at how I go about creating my homemade version of chocolate donuts.


Flour – 450g
Active Yeast – 11g
Milk – 250 ml
Sugar – 50g
1 Egg
Vanilla Sugar – 10g
Butter (dough) – 50g
Oil (for frying)
Chocolate – 100g
Cream 30% – 40 ml
Butter (Ganache) – 35g
Sprinkles/Coconut shaving (decoration)
